  2. 2Drag Themis into Applications.
  3. 3First launch: if macOS says it can't verify the app, open System Settings, Privacy & Security, and click "Open Anyway".
  4. 4Themis lives in your Dock from then on and updates itself; you will never download this file again.

On Windows

ThemisSetup.exe, 64-bit

  1. 1Download and run ThemisSetup.exe.
  2. 2If SmartScreen appears, click "More info", then "Run anyway".
  3. 3The installer adds Themis to your Start menu.
  4. 4Pin it to the taskbar for one-click access. Themis updates itself from here on, no more installers.
The one-time “unverified app” notice
That is your operating system checking a newly downloaded app. The steps above walk past it in a few seconds, and it never appears again.
The last download you make
Themis checks for a new version on its own, downloads it quietly in the background, and asks only when it is ready to restart. Install once, stay current for good.

No download, installs from Safari

  1. 1Open themis.altitudemountainscaling.com/app in Safari and sign in.
  2. 2Tap the Share button, then “Add to Home Screen”.
  3. 3Tap Add. Themis gets its own icon, with no browser bars around it.
  4. 4Open it from the Home Screen and allow notifications when asked.

On Android

No download, installs from Chrome

  1. 1Open themis.altitudemountainscaling.com/app in Chrome and sign in.
  2. 2Open the browser menu and choose “Install app”.
  3. 3Confirm. Themis lands in your app drawer like any other app.
  4. 4Allow notifications so new leads reach your lock screen.

On iPhone, notifications only work once Themis is on the Home Screen. That is Safari's rule, not ours, and it is the whole reason step two matters.
